Manor Farm Barns

These fine examples of Traditional Thatched Norfolk Barns are situated Just outside the village of Moulton St Mary on the Reedham Road close to Freethorpe

January 2007. Work has now started in earnest on the main roof of Barn 2 (the first one to be converted) This one has spectacular views across fields where, on a clear day, you can see the Wind Farm at Winterton, some 20 miles away. The old thatch has been removed to enable other essential preparation work work to continue. Most of the common rafters were in tact and have been cleaned and treated. Internal work is well under way with the first floor framework under construction. Some internal walls have also been erected. Both of these Barns will be finished to a very high standard, with hand crafted windows made locally and solid oak doors constructed on site by our own craftsmen. Heating will be under floor and fuelled via A Geo-thermal heating system incorporating a state of the art Heat Pump.

May 2007

First fix plumbing and electrics have been completed and ground floor heating has been laid. The thatching will started this month and completion is on target for the end of the winter

April 2008

Virtually completed now with just a few final touches to be added by way of worktops for the superb kitchen. A separate driveway entrance has been constructed ensuring a greater level of seclusion.

We have installed an integrated Home network system which distributes television, computer & telephone signals through one cable giving the end user greater flexibility for how they use their home. In addition to the TV signals the home network can also take video & audio signals from 4 pieces of equipment and send them to any Television connected to the network allowing the user to view their Satellite box, DVD player or free view receiver from any Television in the house.

In addition to the home network we have also pre cabled for an fully featured Opus Multi-Room audio system which when installed will provide Hi-Fi quality sound to each room connected with only a keypad and speakers in the room so no ugly boxes or trailing wires to worry about, the Opus audio system has a built in FM/AM radio and can also distribute audio from up to six other sources including an iPod and Digital Music Servers. It’s also pre-wired for external cameras which can be connected into the system

This system was supplied by Homecomms, their details are given below
