High Barn

This fine example of a traditional Norfolk Barn has been restored to it's former glory with a thatched roof and tiled lean-to. Its conversion to two high spec luxury homes complete with state of the art under floor heating and has been further enhanced by its spacious  accommodation over three floors.

Work has now started in earnest on the main roof at High Barn .The corrugated sheets have been taken down from only half of the barn to enable other essential preparation work work to continue in the covered half. We have decided to replace all of the common rafters with home grown Larch as this is the closest in strength, colour and durability  to pitch pine that we could get in the sizes we need. Thatching has been completed and it really looks spectacular. The thatch is some of the best from Walberswick and was completed by the Thompson Brothers and their very professional team. A Geo-thermal heating system is to be incorporated along with a state of the art Heat pump.
